We are looking for a Senior Consultant to lead our Data Cataloging initiative. This role will be the linchpin in our drive to create an efficient and effective data cataloging system. The Senior Consultant will facilitate stakeholder discussions, manage data onboarding and cataloging, and coordinate the execution of data connections with our technical team.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
1. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Help the PM with intake discussions with senior stakeholders to gain their interest in cataloging their internally owned data.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with managers and technical leads, effectively communicating the value and process of data cataloging.
• Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders throughout the data cataloging process.
2. Data Onboarding and Cataloging:
• Help the PM in leading the data onboarding process, providing clear guidance and support to stakeholders.
• Manage the data cataloging process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with the PM and technical team to establish data connections within the data catalog.
3. Leadership and Team Coordination:
• Coordinate effectively between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless execution and communication.
4. Risk Management and Escalation:
• Proactively identify risks and issues related to the data cataloging process.
• Recognize when to escalate issues and risks, ensuring that they are promptly and appropriately addressed.
5. Project Documentation and Reporting:
• Develop and present slide decks to illustrate the data cataloging process and progress.
• Keep records of the data cataloging process, ensuring that all relevant parties are updated on the project status.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a similar role preferably with a focus on data management.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in creating professional slide decks and reports.
• A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work independently and escalate issues when necessary.
