Job Description:

  • Workday Adaptive Planning Integration Engineer (W2 only; no C2C/1099 options)
    Duration: 6 month open-ended contract
    Location: remote
    Candidates must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test.
    Candidates must be able to work on Apex Systems’s W2 without sponsorship now or in the future.
    There are no C2C or 1099 options.
    Apex Systems is seeking a Workday Adaptive Planning Integration Engineer to support our large financial client’s effort to automate currently existing manual processes for legacy systems.  In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between Workday Adaptive Planning and other enterprise systems.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations between Workday Adaptive Planning and various other systems (Apptio, Alteryx).
  • Utilize Workday Studio, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, Alteryx plug-ins, and other integration tools to build robust data integrations.
  • Monitor and maintain existing integrations, ensuring data accuracy and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new integrations or enhancements to existing integrations.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and integration designs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Provide recommendations on integration solutions that best meet business needs and improve efficiency.
  • Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders during integration projects, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides. - Ensure that all integration processes and procedures comply with organizational policies and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance integration processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration solutions are scalable, secure, and future-proof.

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing integrations for Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Strong technical expertise with Workday Studio, Workday Web Services, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Experience in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand financial processes and data flows.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning or Integration certification is highly desirable.
