Process Quality Inspector

Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to support in-process inspection of material to ensure manufactured products adhere to specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required):
· Accurately inspects in-process materials and products per drawings, prints, sketches and/or other technical reference documents. 
· Ability to use standard mechanical inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, drop gages, scales. 
· Conduct non-destructive testing and evaluate results using an established computer program.
· Record inspection results to verify that product meets requirements.
· Effective containment of material that has been inspected and subsequently identified as discrepant.  Notify quality supervision or management of this development and obtain direction on how to proceed.
· Maintain quality control documents, check sheets, reports, and files.
· Control non-conforming products and ensure that discrepant materials are maintained in MRB.
· Keep quality control areas, tools, and instruments clean and organized.
· Follow safe working practices including wearing all personal protective equipment.
· Adherence to Code of Conduct as applicable to job function.
Working Relationships
Regular interaction with members of Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to achieve the efficient flow of product conformance, and data reporting. 
Qualifications
·  High School Diploma or equivalent
·  A minimum of 1-3 years of previous relevant experience preferred.
·  Experience utilizing mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, drop gages, gage blocks, plug gages, etc…
·  Comprehension of blueprint reading. 
·  Familiarity with basic GD&T callouts would be a differentiator.
·  Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines
·  Strong communication skills
·  Team player
·  Proficient with standard Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
·  Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations necessary to determine the difference between “as-is” condition and what processing will be required to achieve the desire result.
·  Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word, Teams, document control search engine applications, and email.  Prior use of SAP would be a plus.
