Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Systems Architect to join their team in Newington, VA. 
The Systems Architect will serve as an integral part of the Service Design team. The candidate will serve to design, implement and provide deliverables to Service Operations team. The candidate will provide technical expertise to the team as it relates to both software and hardware integration. The candidate is also expected to provide tier III support as complex issues arise. Additionally, the candidate will have a thorough understanding of the ITIL framework and a fundamental understanding of Project Management.
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Experience
15+ years of related experience
Hard Skills
Certifications or strong experience in 3 of 7 of the following core competencies
Storage – NetApp
Compute – Cisco UCS, Dell, SuperMicro
Hypervisor – ESXi or Hyper-V
Microsoft – Active Directory
Cloud – Google, AWS, Azure
Linux – Any flavor
Network - Cisco
SEC+ or higher for DoD 8570 required
ITSM and ITIL experience desired
Soft Skills
- Effective communicator able to prioritize and account for project tasks
- Ability to work autonomously on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Must be highly effective within a collaborative environment
