Job Description:

We are partnering with our leading financial client in Chicago or Richmond or Atlanta area on a Sr. Systems Engineer opportunity!
This is a long term, extendable opening, hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite in Chicago/Richmond/Atlanta).
Hourly Rate is $69.50/hour on w2.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Support OSA group and operating systems and the software that comes along with it. Support the ibm operating systems working with IBM z/OS. Order software, Downloading software, Patches to operating systems, Interfaces back and forth, and tickets with IBM.
Technical Skills:
 

  • 3-5 Must Haves Skills & Technologies (Break down each skill or tech stack/ flexibility levels):
  • z/os most important
  • IBM systems programmer - senior
  • Patching, downloading, and ordering experience is a must
  • Tickets with IBM
  • Good portion of career on the operation system NOT in application development
  • SOMPE
  • Jr., Mid, or Sr. level and how many years of experience on each skill?
  • z/os most important – senior (8-10)
  • IBM systems programmer – senior (8-10)
  • Patching, downloading, and ordering experience (8-10)
  • Tickets with IBM (8-10)
  • Good portion of career on the operation system NOT in application development
  • SOMPE
  • Drill down on how they will use the skill (ie: what application or platform or regulatory/ compliance etc)
  • Truly operating infrastructure. NO application development
  • How important is the environment they have worked in prior? ( ie: enterprise level, industry specific/ domain specific) – they need experience in operating system. No specific industry or domain
