ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to serve as Senior Manager, Employee Relations + Investigations. This role is based out of the Peloton New York headquarters and is part of the People team.

The Senior Manager, Employee Relations + Investigations will report to the Sr. Director, Employee Relations to ensure fair and respectful treatment of team members, consistent with our Peloton core values and objectives. This role will contribute to the global employee relations framework evolution, which includes standardized, data-forward processes, case and performance management aligned to best practices, and policies and processes compliant with applicable laws and regulations. The role directly handles investigation, documentation, and resolution of employee grievances, supports performance management, develops training, offers expert Employee Relations consultation, drafts and updates policies, and provides compliance guidance.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Serve as an expert Employee Relations consultant managing sensitive HR escalations while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to listen and connect with all levels of team members to ensure they feel safe, heard, and respected 
  • Conduct thorough, professional, and efficient investigations  to obtain critical facts for proper decision-making
  • Independently manage and prioritize an investigation caseload, balancing proper documentation, thorough interviews, stakeholder communication, report writing, coaching, and timely resolution
  • Utilize case-management systems and other company tools and resources to document findings, evidence, and investigation reports in a fact-based, concise, and prompt manner
  • Capably manage high-stress, sensitive situations; ensure that all matters  are handled in an objective and consistent manner
  • Synthesize and analyze data, trends, and opportunities from various internal systems to facilitate  proactive risk mitigation and early issue resolution and improve organizational health
  • Keep up to date on changes in employment laws and regulations and provide guidance to management and employees on compliance-related matters
  • Partner effectively and collaboratively with business leaders and People business partners across the organization to implement systemic solutions and sustain positive employee relations
  • Develop and deliver training programs for team members and people leaders on topics such as diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, communication skills, and workplace conduct
  • Provide guidance, education, and coaching to people leaders on employee relations best practices and effective employee communication techniques

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with emphasis on employee relations, employment law, HR policy, and training and development; the successful candidate must have excellent investigation planning, interview, e-discovery, documentation, and policy/report writing skills
  • Strong knowledge and facility for interpreting and communicating employment policies, practices, and employment law and regulations
  • Experience conducting investigatory interviews involving complex, sensitive, and confidential topics 
  • Excellent mediation and conflict resolution skills that demonstrate flexibility, creativity, business acumen, and emotional intelligence
  • Attention to detail, and a sense of urgency and ownership
  • Strength in managing competing priorities simultaneously and focusing in on the highest impact work 
  • Strong analytic and systems thinking; good instincts and impeccable judgment
  • Clear and concise writing style
  • Skilled at working effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that enable partnership and collaboration across all management levels and functional areas (including HR, business / function heads)
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information in a mature and professional manner
