Position:  Azure Engineer
Location:  Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL
Duration :  12-18 Month Contract to Hire
Rate Range?:  $55-60/hr
 
Position Overview:  
 We are seeking a talented and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Ops Squad. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) for Azure infrastructure, capable of handling changes, upgrades, and implementing best practices.
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:  
 - Design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions on Azure to meet the needs of the company.
- Implement and monitor an Azure infrastructure.
- Collaborate with team members to improve the company’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
- Optimize and fine-tune our environment for maximum performance and cost benefits.
- Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls.
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Troubleshoot production issues and respond to after-hours escalations.
- Provide online training to the rest of the squad.
- Maintain a strong relationship with our vendor, Microsoft.

Requirements:
? - Operational background – ticketing SNOW/deployment and working on day to day changes.
- Experience with Terraform and Python.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Proficient in Azure CLI, Azure APIs, Azure Resource Manager templates, Azure Objects, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with databases, GIT, Python Scripting, CI/CD Patterns.
- Experience with ARM templates – library already there and only changes.
- AZ 900 Certification.
