Job Description:

Our Fortune 500 client is looking for a GIS Specialist with 1-3 years of GIS experience!
Location: Gulfport, MS (must be within 50 miles of the area)

Duration: 4 year contract 
On-site requirements: 3x a week on-site per week minimum

This position is responsible for data entry, processing, and maintenance of Distribution data in the company’s Distribution Geographical Database System (DistGIS).
Job Requirements
Education and Job Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a GIS related field is a plus.
- Certificate in GIS is a plus
- Experience working with ESRI’s ArcMap/ArcPro and Schneider’s ArcFM editing tools in Distribution electric systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Data entry into the GIS database regarding planned and completed field work.
- Data entry using AutoCad for underground subdivisions
- Researching and correcting Fuzzy Customer’s in GIS/CSS
- Coordinate updates with the Division’s and the DCC related to projects that extend many months
- Maintain high standards for data quality
- Reconcile data conflicts
- Provide storm support for ERTs and/or pinging meters
- Provide mapping/technical support for DistGIS users.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of PD Technology processes and applications including but not limited to: DistGIS, NMS, JETS, CSS, EIS, Maximo
- Experience using Microsoft Office which includes Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
- GIS/AutoCAD - Proven ability to multitask and strong decision-making abilities
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Able to maintain focus on assigned tasks
