Sr Java DeveloperApex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Sr Java Developer
to place at our client, within Enterprise Retailer.
Client: Enterprise Retailer
Location: GTA – 1-2x a month in office.
Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Project: Our client is working on an exciting Pricing Engine project aimed at replacing their current open management system with a new, robust pricing engine portal. This portal will handle discount and promotion calculations, providing a more efficient and scalable solution for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot.
- Design and implement distributed systems with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Work with cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Manage and optimize SQL and Redis databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the pricing engine.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- 5+ years of experience in Java development.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Redis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Background in retail industry.
- Experience with pricing engines or similar systems.
