Job Title: SQL Data Analyst
Location: Metairie, Louisiana (must be local)
Duration: 6 month contract to hire 
Compensation: Competitive + benefits on W2

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled SQL Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL administration, report building, and data integration. This role involves working closely with end users to design, automate, and validate reports, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SQL Administration: Manage and maintain SQL databases, including T-SQL (Transact-SQL) tasks.
  • Report Building: Develop and deliver reports using SQL data, integrating them into Excel and Power BI.
  • Data Integration: Build and maintain tables, integrating various data sources into the Datawarehouse.
  • Report Design: Design reports in SQL, outputting to Power BI and Excel, and automate these processes.
  • User Collaboration: Work with end users to understand their data needs and deliver customized reports.
  • Automation: Ensure all reports are automated, including error checking and validation.
  • Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on data and reports, ensuring data integrity.
  • Datawarehouse Development: Collaborate with the team to build out the Datawarehouse.
  • System Integration: Work with the Sage system for data integration and reporting.

Top 3 Must-Have Technologies/Experience:

  1. Automation: Experience with EDI automation and the ability to integrate external data sources into SQL.
  2. SQL Proficiency: Ability to develop SQL data into presentable formats in Excel and Power BI, including building efficient queries with multiple data sets.
  3. Stored Procedures: Experience in building and scheduling stored procedures.

Nice to Haves:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and create meaningful reports.
  • Testing Experience: Experience in designing test scripts and performing end-to-end testing.
  • Power BI/DAX: Proficiency in developing SQL data into presentable formats using Power BI and DAX.

Additional Skills:

  • SQL Server Administration: Manage and maintain SQL Server environments.
  • Automation Skills: Ability to automate data processes and integrate external data sources.
  • Report Design: Design reports from input to output using various automation methods.
  • Business Process Understanding: Apply business process knowledge to create accurate reports.
  • Validation and Error Reporting: Design automated validations and error reporting for reports.
  • Revision Control: Implement good revision control techniques with clear code explanations.
  • EDI Experience: Experience with EDI and EDI automation.
