Project Scope Summary:
Our client is seeking a qualified Operations Support person to augment ODOT day to day support. This position will be assigned responsibilities involving the monitoring and data correction of nightly ETL processes according to deadlines and within budget under the guidance and direction of the OMES-IS Legacy Application Development team.
 
General Requirements:
The Operations Support role will be responsible for business process monitoring of the defined project ensuring consistency with the Agencys strategy, commitments and goals. ODOT expects Vendor staff to follow IT policies of the Agency and the State of Oklahoma Information Security Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, as well as policies on Confidentiality and Protection of Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA).
The position requirements include a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS), and 1-2 years of relevant experience in an Information Technology enterprise environment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.

 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Server and business process monitoring.
  • Correct data errors and coordinate with business users on break-fix resolutions.
  • Review and analyze organization’s business needs, confers with users to evaluate requirements, discuss solutions and develop plan of approach.
  • Assist with the preparation of program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications.
  • Attend working sessions for user access and security remediation.
  • Monitor and remediate bugs discovered during testing.
     
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Preference may be given to candidates who possess the following:
  • Oracle APEX
  • COBOL
  • Easytrieve
