Join Our Client’s Team as a Linux Cloud Administrator! 

Are you an experienced cloud administrator ready to support Army IT systems? Our client, a leading managed service provider (MSP) for Army IT systems, is looking for a skilled administrator to assist enterprise application owners in migrating their systems to AWS and providing sustainment services. This role involves supporting applications through migration, modernization, and sustainment. #clearance

Required Certifications:
  • Security+ (or equivalent IA cert) #clearance
  • Computing Environment Certification (e.g., Amazon Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and sustain cloud infrastructure to support customer applications.
  • Linux Administration: Provide daily administration of Linux-based Virtual Machines.
  • Security Hardening: Harden Linux-based services per commercial best practices and required government cybersecurity controls.
  • Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis of any Linux issues.
  • OS Upgrades: Coordinate and perform major OS version upgrades of virtual machines.
  • System Documentation: Develop and maintain system, infrastructure, and process documentation (system diagrams, network topology, software configurations, device configurations, standard operating procedures).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, deploy, and maintain IaC for Linux-based services.
  • Application Support: Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of customer application issues, including network, storage, operating system, and application-level analysis.
  • AWS Portal Administration: Manage AWS resources, configure alerts and notifications, and oversee AWS resources for cloud customers.
  • On-Call Support: Provide triage and resolution for after-hours production incidents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements for security, scalability, manageability, and performance across various technologies.
Required Skills:
  • Senior Level Cloud Engineer Experience: IaaS required, some PaaS experience preferred.
  • Networking Concepts: Baseline knowledge of routing, firewall, load balancing required; knowledge of server technologies and application stacks preferred.
  • AWS Knowledge: Proficient with Amazon AWS cloud resources.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple large-scale projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Understanding: Strong troubleshooting skills across the entire technology stack.
  • Automation Tools: Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • DoD Knowledge: Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM) preferred.
