Content Writer (Wealth Management)

Apex Systems is a staffing and consulting firm and we are looking for a Content Writer with 5+ years experience with content creation and management, exposure to Wealth Management products, and understanding of working in an Agile team to place at our client, a Big Five Bank.

Client: Big Five Bank

Contract: 6-month rolling contract.

Location: Toronto, Downtown Core

Job Description:

• Ensuring content aligns with brand standards and guidelines
• Uploading image, videos and other media assets.
• Scheduling and publishing of contents
• Structuring of content within CMS Contentful using RTE (Rich Text Editor).
• Applying proper formatting for readability, accessibility and SEO.
• Adding proper SEO titles, descriptions, tags, and other metadata or schema to content to optimize for both onsite and offsite search
• Saving in draft and preview for review and approvals.
• Working will content owners and stakeholders for validation and content refinements.
• Managed triage request and daily BAU funnel
• Maintaining the website content space and organization of the content.
• Understanding, creating and managing content hierarchies and relationships between levels.
• Perform quality checks for grammar, spelling and styles.
• Ensure and confirm all media assets (images, videos, etc) are correctly formatted and presented in the correct file type, and dimensions.
• Coordinating with other members of the team (UX designer, journey owner, marketing, and support) to ensure a cohesive process for content publishing.
• Stakeholder interaction and engagement.
• Expected to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Contentful, support the onboarding of new users into the Contentful space.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for content related issues.
• Provide update and continuous improvement for authoring within the Contentful space.

Key Qualifications: 

• 5+ years experience as a Content Writer or Author
• Exposure to the banking domain and products 
• Experience with content creation utilizing tools like Contentful, Bynder, Vidyard, Pardot
• Knowledge of Metadata Management with Contentful, Algolia Search, or similar
• Experience with Workflow management on tools such as Workfront
• Exposure to working in an Agile environment with JIRA
• Bilingual in English and French
