Position Description:
This hybrid role requires the candidate to be within a drivable distance to Dearborn, MI, and potentially come into the office 2-3 days per week. You’ll support some of the clients most visible initiatives. The group develops on-premises and cloud analytic solutions. As a product line designer, you’ll oversee a portfolio of product teams, identify patterns and use cases, and align teams around a human-centric roadmap. You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, managers, and fellow designers, leveraging your UI development skills to ensure seamless user experiences.
Skills Required:

  • Facilitate and lead design thinking sessions with various stakeholders.
  • Conduct generative user research (contextual inquiry, ethnography, field research, user and stakeholder interviews).
  • Transform user research into assets (affinity walls, journey maps, empathy maps, storyboards, personas).
  • Justify research strategy and insights to stakeholders unfamiliar with UX.
  • Collaborate with business partners, product managers, developers, and designers.
  • Provide mentoring, teaching, and leadership to team members.
  • Evangelize UX within the team and department.
  • Utilize UI development skills to implement and test design solutions, ensuring high-quality user interfaces.
Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX, product management, or a combination of both.
  • 2+ years of experience in user research.
  • 2+ years of experience in facilitating design thinking and ideation workshops.
  • Proficiency in UI development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
