Senior Software Developer- Java/Spring Boot

Job Description:
Creates user information solutions by developing, implementing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces.  Write well designed, testable, efficient code and ensuring designs are compliant with specifications.  Prepare and produce releases of software components.  Support continuous improvements by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.  Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.  Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.  Must have extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.  Proven leadership in developing backend applications.  Experience with test-driven development or behavior driven development a bonus.
Essential Functions:
  • Develop in Back End Development activities using Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Ensure standards are met with respect to code quality, unit test cases, and best coding practices for all code implementations.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Work on Proof-of-Concept projects to help create reusable patterns for development.
  • Participate in all agile ceremonies and appropriately lead technology solutioning.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Sr. Developer
    • 7+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
    • 7+ years of experience in Unit Testing / Test Automation in Agile environment.
