Linux System Administrator x2
Hybrid - 3 days in the office 2 remote -  Minnesota
Contract through 12/31/2024
Extensive knowledge on installing, supporting, configuring Redhat Linux OS systems and the underline hardware
• Experience in infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools such as HashiCorp Terraform, AWS CloudFormation etc.
• Strong knowledge on Linux systems performance tuning, troubleshooting and backup/recovery
• Strong knowledge of virtualization systems, VMware, ESXI, vSphere client, vMotion, KVM
• Extensive knowledge configuring and troubleshooting OS Multipathing /HBA to SAN connected storage
• Strong experience on HA and clustering solution, such as Oracle RAC clusters, Veritas clusters, Redhat HA clusters and HADR clusters
• Experience on automating tasks with Shell script, Python etc.
• Extensive experience on configuration management with Ansible, Salt stack, puppet, Chef, Jenkins
• Extensive experience using source control tools, such as GitLab, GitHub, & Bitbucket
• Strong customer service and communications skills, both oral and written with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Proven project management skills in setting priorities to meet project deadlines
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills with ability to problem solve
• Organized, detail-oriented with ability to understand big picture and make risk appropriate tradeoffs
Responsible for provisioning and troubleshooting Linux based Skills:

  • Performs all hardware and software installation and configuration for supported systems.
  • Performs system capacity planning and provides regularly scheduled detailed reporting.
  • Knowledge of the following technologies: Linux 7/8/9, VMWare System Administration, Shell Scripting (BASH, Python), Ansible, Salt, GitLab, VMWare vRA, Terraform
