3DX (PLM) Solutions Architect We are the Product Development (PD) Platform Operations team, the driving force behind Fords next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) infrastructure and software - using Dassaults 3DX platform. This platform is the backbone of our product development ecosystem, and your expertise will directly impact the tools our engineers use everyday. As a 3DX (PLM) Solutions Architect, youll be the technical leader and visionary for building a thriving software development ecosystem around our 3DX implementation. This is a high-impact role where youll: Help define the design, development, and implementation of custom solutions within the Dassault 3DExperience platform to meet unique PLM requirements. Develop a deep understanding of existing PLM processes and identify areas for optimization and innovation through the 3DX platform. Establish best practices and guidelines for 3DX customization, development, platform, storage, network, and deployment, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adherence to Fords architectural standards. Lastly, mentor and guide other team members on 3DX development best practices and technologies, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience working with PLM systems, specifically Dassault Systems 3DExperience platform, demonstrating a deep understanding of its architecture, functionalities, and customization capabilities.
  • Extensive understanding & experience of infrastructure, networking, storage, cloud/SaaS/onprem technologies
  • Proven expertise in software development with proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used within the 3DX ecosystem (e.g., Java, JavaScript, C++, Python).
  • Strong experience with 3DX APIs, web services, and data models for developing custom integrations and applications.
  • Solid understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps), CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native development principles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience Required:
  • 5+ years working with Dassaults 3DX product line
  • 3+ years leading solutions architecture teams and/or an individual contributor at a large organization
  • 10+ years working in the manufacturing space and around PLM tooling
  • Experience working in an AGILE working environment


Experience Preferred:
In short, you must be experienced with Dassaults 3DX, have an architectural background, and ready to jump in to action.
Education Required:
No education expectations / none are required but we expect that there is experience to back up any lack of formal education pathways
Additional Information :
Remote Position / southern Michigan candidates preferred. If you are remote, you will be expected to follow an EST (eastern) time schedule.
