Senior Project Manager – Automated Risk ModellingApex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Senior Project Manager with experience with Risk Modelling Implementation initiatives to place at our client, a top 5 bank.
Client: Big Five Bank - Commercial Banking
Contract: 1 Year Contract
Start Date: ASAP – 2-3 Weeks from Offer Date. Late Sept to Early October 2024.
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: 1-2 Days in office downtown Toronto.

Project: Automated Risk Modelling Project
Must Have Project Experience:
Risk Modelling implementation experience
Handled complex data and analytics projects, risk modeling projects, and credit adjudication (preferably commercial credit) process improvement projects.
AdvisoryActs as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
• Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives. Assists in the development of strategic plans.
• Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
• Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
• May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.Strategic InitiativesHelps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
• Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.Relationship ManagementActs as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.Data AnalyticsDesigns and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.Comms /Change MgmtSocializes change management plans with stakeholders and consistently measures project effectiveness and adoptionOperational MgmtDirects projects often within one business group involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Exercises direct accountability for projects with up to 25 team members.
• Negotiates contracts with external vendors (in consultation with Strategic Sourcing) to ensure receipt of specific resources and materials.
• Manages overall project budget
Directs complex initiatives typically involving multiple business units.
• Exercises direct accountability for projects with up to 50 team members
• Negotiates complex contracts with external vendors (in consultation with Strategic Sourcing) to ensure receipt of specific resources and materials
Takes ownership of the project from cradle to grave and ensures all project artifacts are completed.
• Manages overall project budget.QualificationsTypically, 7+ years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Project management experience – 6 to 8 years.
• Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.
