QA Associate - Document Control

Apex Systems is a large staffing and consulting firm and we are looking for a QA Associate with experience with working in a QMS or Electronic Document Systems, exposure to GMP/GDP, and a background in life sciences for one of our biotech clients in Toronto. 

Client: Biotechnology company

Contract/Perm & duration: 6-month contract (possibility of extension/conversion)

Location: Toronto

This position will be working 80% on-site as it is required for daily responsibilities 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the lifecycle of electronic documents from creation ensuring appropriate version control and access management
  • Lifecycle management of all paper records including, creation, tracking, reconciliation, scanning and archival.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the associated training system including creation, modification, assignment and retirement of training requirements and curricular
  • Identify opportunities for improving documentation processes and systems
  • Drive the implementation of best practices in documentation management.
Key Qualifications:
  • Life Sciences or Business Administration based bachelors degree preferred with 1-3 years industry experience in C&GT, pharma, biopharma, biotech
  • Basic understanding of cGMP principles and regulations.
  • Experience in using an electronic document management system (EDMS), preferably Veeva or other similar QMSs
  • Excellent organizational and ability to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and strong skills in MS Office including word and excel
