Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our consulting practice has an opening for a Business Analyst - Securitization Reporting who will be responsible mapping and synchronizing the data between 2 systems for a Top Five Bank.
Client: Big 5 Bank
Location:  Hybrid; 1-2 days a week in Toronto
Terms: 6 month contract, with opportunity of extension base on  budget and performance
Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our team and support the development of a new reporting application for our Securitization team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, data mapping, and testing processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current system workflows and data flows to identify areas for improvement and integration.
  • Develop data mapping strategies to ensure accurate and consistent data synchronization between the two systems.
  • Create detailed user stories and system mapping documentation.
  • Design and execute test cases to validate the functionality of the new reporting application.
  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure successful implementation of the new application.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the reporting application.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance or treasury concepts;
    • With a focus on Loan Financing and ABS asset-backed security
  • Detailed understanding of various products and ability to work on mapping various product attributes, flows, and business details.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
 
  • Gather business/data requirements and translate to solution design as required in support of technical developers and QA resources
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ensure tight alignment between our teams change delivery framework and other details surrounding each deliverable, e.g. risks, data availability timing, solution flexibility expectations, non-functional requirements, etc.
  • Ability to determine and support the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
  • Proven experience in manual testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of Agile practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
