Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Desktop Virtualization Team Lead, where you’ll support a critical digital modernization program for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate Agencies. As a Senior Desktop Virtualization Engineer, you will lead a team of engineers to design, implement, and deploy virtual desktop capabilities in the Azure Cloud.
Clearance Requirement: Must possess an active SECRET or above DoD clearance to be considered (US Citizenship required).
Primary Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Mentoring: Provide thought leadership and mentoring to a team of virtual desktop engineers, including frequent collaboration with the Chief Engineer and other team leads.

• VDI Management: Engineer, implement, mitigate, monitor, and tune the virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) environment and management software.

• Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for VDI solutions, processes, and procedures.

• Continuous Improvement: Continually identify opportunities for improvement, including innovations in the VDI domain aimed at enhancing user experience, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Security Enforcement: Enforce security best practices and guidelines, leveraging your knowledge of security policies, network security, and data security.

• Team Interaction: Initiate frequent interactions with the team of virtual desktop engineers to identify areas of improvement and facilitate their career growth, including participation in annual performance reviews.

• Scalability: Grow the solution and team to support DoD Fourth Estate with a targeted community of 400k users.
