Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical and electrical engineering 2D&3D drawings of components, assemblies, and process engineering change orders from given data such as previous drawings, layouts, detailed sketches, notes, verbal instructions and standard references.
• Researches data required to complete accurately the engineering data depicted on an engineering drawing including previous drawings, project notes, sketches and field checks.
• Improves the drawing process by using the provided CADD software and hardware to develop software routines that automate tasks.
• Manage the documentation and design process for new products, ensuring designs are accurate and compliant.
• Perform validation and quality assurance functions to ensure final product meets design specifications and functions correctly.
• Produce rough sketches and detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for new parts and assemblies.
• Use CAD software to create technical designs that meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality.
• Work with engineering and production teams to ensure that designs meet project and manufacturing requirements.
• Review plans and figures for technical accuracy, consistency, and drafting standard compliance.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all CAD work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the development of simulation and analysis models as required.
• Conceptualize, design and communicate successfully in CAD using current industry standards.
• Contributes to technical designs and documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in design drafting or equivalent experience using CAD computer systems
• Proficiency in design software, including CAD tools, simulation, and analysis software
• Ability to work in both 2D and 3D environments
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
• Must be a United States Citizen
• AutoCAD Inventor experience  (Preferred)
