Senior Compliance Infrastructure Specialist
Client: Top 5 Bank
Duration: 6 month contract - high possibility of extension
Location: Downtown Toronto, 1-2 days/week

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Infrastructure Specialist to join our client; a top 5 bank in Downtown Toronto. This role is critical in supporting our efforts to build a robust compliance framework that meets regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement key control tests: As per Enterprise Testing (ET) guidance, you will be responsible for designing and executing key control tests. Your expertise will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory mandates.
  • Enhance existing processes: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes. Your contributions will streamline testing procedures and improve overall efficiency.
  • Central repository management: Build and maintain a central repository for testing documentation. This repository will serve as a valuable resource for the entire organization.
  • Enterprise-wide testing: Conduct comprehensive testing around business controls, focusing on all non-financial risks. Your insights will contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
  • Infrastructure design: Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to design infrastructure capable of effective risk assessment within the first line of defense.
  • Audit automation and standardization: Identify gaps in current audit automation infrastructure and propose solutions for improvement. Standardize procedure documentation to ensure consistency across business units.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in compliance risk space: You should have a strong background in compliance risk within the financial industry.
  • Building compliance frameworks: Experience in building compliance frameworks from scratch is essential. RSA certification would be advantageous.
  • Process enhancement: Expertise in process enhancement and implementation of centralized systems for operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory understanding: Solid understanding of regulatory requirements related to monitoring and testing controls.
  • Critical review skills: Ability to critically review existing infrastructures and translate findings into standardized formats for broader application.
