Job Description:


Responsible for the test and trouble shooting of racked solutions in a high paced program environment.
Utilizes hardware, networking and advanced scripting knowledge to deploy customer specifications per the instructions of the customer.
Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong desire of independent judgment initiate, and technical knowledge are required to solve technical problems.
Work is completed independently and candidate should have the ability to handle unique situations.
Trouble shoot failures as they occur. Failures could be either software or hardware in nature.
Responsible for logging all failures in online system.
Responsible for trend data collection as directed by supervisors.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Previous HPE hardware experience and understanding of infrastructure and test methods
Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers, supervisors, and engineering support
1 year minimum experience with Linux and Windows Server Operating System required or equivalent.
Knowledge of network transfers, pre-boot execution environment, and TCP/IP required.
Experience in network switch configuration, firmware upgrades, subnet masking, is required.
Knowledge of image deployment is required.
Knowledge of VMware is preferred.
Knowledge of virtualization is preferred.
Unix/Linux experience required.
Understand failure modes of products and test processes as well as system block diagrams is preferred.
Must have Microsoft office experience (word, excel, outlook).
Analytical problem solving and decision making skills required.
Candidate should be detail oriented & demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical trends and concerns.
Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers & demonstrated conflict management and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to successfully identify basic purpose of server & rack components In general, this is considered an advanced position where the resource Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways.
Expert knowledge on the general/technical aspects of the job.
