Sr. ServiceNow Implementation Lead

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Implementation Lead to oversee the planning, implementation, and delivery of a new ServiceNow instance within our organization, resulting from a separation of a shared instance with another organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the ServiceNow platform along with proven implementation management expertise to drive successful outcomes. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a deep understanding of ServiceNow functionalities.
Responsibilities:
 

  • Implementation Planning and Strategy:
    • Support the development of project plans and timelines for the ServiceNow projects.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Develop strategies to ensure successful project execution and achievement of objectives.
 
  • 2. ServiceNow Expertise:
    • Utilize deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform to provide guidance and direction to project team members/developers.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on ServiceNow best practices, capabilities, and solutions.
    • Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features and enhancements to leverage in projects.
    • Advanced Application Experience: Incident/Work Order, IT Self-Service, Change Management, CMDB, PPM, Security. Asset Management and HR a plus. Platform/Integration, Portal/UI, SSO
 
  • 3. Implementation Execution and Management:
    • Manage all phases of the project for the MBTA, from initiation to closure.
    • Coordinate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure project success.
    • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
 
  • 4. Communications:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for MBTA stakeholders, providing regular updates on implementation status and progress.
    • Facilitate communication between implementation teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and transparency.
 
  • 5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to established processes and procedures.
    • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • 6. Implementation Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
    • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks proactively.
    • Escalate critical issues to senior management as needed, providing recommendations for resolution.

Qualifications:
 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
    • Proven experience (at last 5+years) in technical solution implementations, specifically in ServiceNow projects.
    • ServiceNow certification(s) such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred.
    • Advanced Skills with ServiceNow Development APIs
    • Web Service Integration (API Web Services) experience
    • LDAP Integration experience
    • Single Sign-on configuration and administration
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
