Job Description:
Overview: As a Linux L2 Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of Linux servers. You will play a crucial role in managing various filesystem types and supporting Debian and RHEL systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 24x7 support for the Linux server environment.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Collaborate with the IT team to optimize system performance.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
- Automate routine tasks with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Understand network fundamentals and security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Debian, Red Hat) and server hardware.
- Experience with Linux systems administration, including various filesystem types such as ext4, xfs, zfs.
- Knowledge of Solaris and AIX operating systems is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LFCS) are highly desirable.
