Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Mechanical Engineer for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.This assignment is anticipated to be a 12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Have an operational responsibility in the day-to-day development, new designs and changes to existing products.
- Product and procedures are given; however, the work requires experience and the capacity to perform analysis and draw conclusions.
- Focus on own technical area with no or limited interfaces to other technical areas.
- Designing (as needed) cooling systems components and sub-components for PWTI -ICE (powertrain installation - internal combustion engines)
- Designing (as needed) exhaust systems components and sub-components for PWTI -ICE (powertrain installation - internal combustion engines)
- Ensuring new designs fulfill business targets, requirements and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets
- Front-loading work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late stage releases
- Releasing components as applicable to resolve maintenance issues or secure project deliveries
Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering field
- 5+ years of related experience
- Great Communication skills and ability to work independently
- Positive attitude and desire to learn and take on new tasks (self-learner)
