Job Description:
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Business Analyst a specialty in BI & Analytics tooling to place at our client, a Big Five Bank.
Client: Big Five Bank
Terms: 12 month contract
Location: Hybrid, downtown Toronto, 1-2 days a week in the office
Openings: 2
Projects: Exfiltration, Data Migration
In this role, you will:
- Leverage your expertise in BI and Analytics tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Data Modeling) to support the banks data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various business functions to ensure technology solutions align with strategic goals.
- Gather and translate business requirements into actionable plans for programmers and developers.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Serve as a liaison between the business and IT teams to bridge the gap and ensure user needs are met.
- Manage multiple projects as a contributing member of a collaborative team.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience as a Technical/Functional Hybrid Business Analyst.
- Proficiency in SAS, Tableau, and Power BI (with some SQL experience).
- Proven experience with data analysis, metrics, and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Enterprise experience.
- Knowledge of Data Mesh.
- Proficiency in Alteryx, Databricks, and ETL tools.
- Banking industry experience.
- Understanding of change management and its impacts.
