Job Description:

Position Overview: The Azure Cloud Architect will design and implement the architecture for a new Azure tenant and migrate data and applications from a legacy Azure instance. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, cloud architecture best practices, and experience in large-scale cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Design: Develop and implement the architecture for a new Azure tenant, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Migration Planning: Create detailed migration plans for data and applications from the legacy Azure instance to the new tenant.
  • Implementation: Lead the implementation of the new Azure architecture, including the setup of virtual networks, storage accounts, and other Azure services.
  • Data Migration: Oversee the migration of data, ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal downtime.
  • Application Migration: Coordinate the migration of applications, including re-architecting as necessary to leverage Azure services.
  • Security: Implement robust security measures to protect data and applications in the new Azure environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and operations, to ensure a smooth migration process.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the architecture, migration plans, and processes.
  • Support: Provide ongoing support and optimization for the new Azure environment post-migration.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on Azure.
  • Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture.
    • Experience with large-scale cloud migrations.
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
